Neoxa Craft claim not working properly

I have my entire base claimed, but no block inside it says it's claimed, they invaded my base because of that. The moderator who came to see my base confirmed that it is not claimed, even counting all claimed blocks.

Not a bug, but a noob question: how to claim land after death? I lost my golden shovel and stick.
(By the way: is there a method to wake up in my base after death?)

Answering to myself: any golden shovel will work, one can just mine some gold and make it.
